I can’t seem to figure out where to go next in the Symantec website. I have a really old Norton Anti-Virus 1997. I downloaded the Liveupdate, but I can’t figure out how to open it up and run it to get rid of the detected virus or spyware mentioned above. The Norton Anti-Virus icon shows up on the toolbar and not in the program files via the start button. And, because it’s so old, it doesn’t say anything about updates or any buttons that say repair, fix or get rid of viruses found or anything. Is there a free download that will take care of this problem. Also, after this problem, I downloaded spybot and did a scan there and fixed problems it listed (but I didn’t check to see if any of the above viruses/spywre was mentioned before I hit the fix button. Is there something else I can do other than going through the Symantec scan again for several hours to detect the above-mentioned bugs. Any helpful advice is appreciated. Thank you.

I have trend micro 2007. Ive had it for months! I installed Spybot Search and Destroy last night. I already have spy sweeper, but extra protection, who can deny?

After i ran a scan, deleted the adware it found. I turned my pc off. I return home only to find that red shield saying i have no anti virus. Trend micro is running.

Ive tried to reset it, but it keeps saying there isnt.

Hello again Dunbarr Thanks 4 your help the last time yep your right there i tried 2 remove Dr.Watsons and cant i figured that is not the problem but something else is making it pop up all the time .Whatever the virus is it gettin worse because i have lost all pages from my Favourites list and when computer is on 4 so long it freezes up and only way 2 turn off is plug it out but then it works 4 awhile when i turn it back on ,.Very Frustating LOL is there anything else you think it might be ????
