Every now and then I’ll run the Windows OneCare free scanner, and everytime I do it detects “Trojans” within Java etc. My Adware and Avast AntiVirus don’t detect a darned thing. The same with the registry scanner – CCleaner doesn’t detect anything but the OneCare scanner does. Do they “detect” things to legitimize themselves? Why does this detect things and the other scanners detect nothing?

When I am using Internet explorer and visit a search site like google or yahoo, etc.

When I search for something, lets say microsoft for now, the search engine returns all the possible matches and the web addresses.

When I click on the site which I want, I am redirected to some other search site and directed to something completely different to where I was intending.

This is only happening with my internet explorer. Firefox is unaffected.
What is the problem and how do I get rid of it?

I have tried Adaware and Spybot although they did detect some things, they did not resolve the problem.

Whould uninstalling Internet Explorer then reinstalling help?
How would I uninstall Internet Explorer?

I have McAfee internet security installed on my PC.

usually i will use the software which is less lagging and the scanning process that is faster….besides,the spyware definitions must be good and can know well about a lots of spyware so that it can detect more unknown spyware

I have just scanned my computer with my newly installed superantispyware. It detected two adware, and there was a pop up that says THREAT trojan blah blah. There are three options, heal, move to vault, and ignore. Definitely I should not click ignore. But I’m confuse, do I need to click on move to vault or heal? I would also appreciate If you can explain to me what is move to vault and what is heal. Thanks.

Xoftspy software detected anti lamer in my pc,but i have to buy it to remove it which i cant afford now.And Spybot and Ad-adware doesnt detect it.So is there a free online spyware remover that will remove anti lamer?Or if i delete the anti lamer file,will it be removed or will it b “hiding” somewhere?

As i do weekly, i scanned for viruses and spywares. But with my avast! it didn’t detect anything, and it was updated, so thats good, but when i updated SUPERanti-spyware, it found something like Adware.Vundo So i clicked remove and it said it needs to be rebooted to remove it, but i did this before, and when i scanned again that day, it came back up again, it’s running faster then normal so do i have anything to worry about?
