first and foremost just downloading a spyware remover is NOT going to work… if it was that simple i wouldn’t be posting this question…
somehow some type of malware got on my computer, i have no idea how exactly it migrated into my computer, but i cannot search the internet for anything.. in a search any link i click on opens up a page advertising something to me (furniture/ikea stuff like that)
sites for like spybot search and destroy just won’t open. i had spybot on my computer and when i went to run it i started getting errors i’ve never had before (this program has caused an error and needs to close) other adware removal programs just won’t install.
i’ve tried doing them all in safe mode and it’s still a no-go. i just got through restoring my computer to factory settings a couple of days ago so i’m trying to avoid that… all of my restore points have been deleted as well, or for some other reason i cannot use them.
anyone have any ideas?
i use ccleaner and regseeker regularly, so no neither of those helped…
try the f-secure thing now..
i’ve also already checked msconfig and tried to fish out the malware on my own by digging through program files and the like, never found anything suspcious…
