A BHO is a browser helper object; they are not all bad.

If you want to remove everything from your computer, I suggest going to trendmicro and using th House Call, free online scan…people are always amazed at what that thing roots out–no matter what anti-virus and spy/ad ware zapper they use.

For best results I always suggest going into safe mode with networking and admin account.

You may want to switch to SpyBot if you use IE especially. You can regulate every single thing that enters your computer from the advanced mode settings: make all registry changes an on demand thig so you can deny/accept; block cookies; white list/black list sites…

    Hello Tita,

Adware can be a very tricky thing to get off of your computer.

My computer was infected very badly once, I thought I would have to get a new computer.

I tried downloading trend micro’s free version, but that did not completely remove all of my Adware infection.

My computer kept acting weird, and it was so slow.

It wasn’t until I was searching google one day that I found the solution to my adware problem. It was called adware alert, and it has completely eliminated my adware problems.

The website I found in google can be found above.

Try ToolbarCop, a tiny free 60kb utility intended for this purpose, It also has a google info search option so you can confirm a suspected entry, makes backups as well.
Recommended in addition to toolbarcop: Scan your system with Malwarebytes Anti-Malware, Spybot Search & Destroy (its free too).
In the end, use latest version of RemoveIt Pro to knock out any remaining infections from your System32 Dir. If any files refuses or locks to be removed, just put them in Spybot S&D’s Shredder to chop them away.
All tools are free except Anti-Malware, but you can use its trial version.
