This question appears to have been asked a year ago, but can’t find any useful response. Please help.

I seem to have to serious problem with a virus protection program that keeps popping up and urges me to be installed, because of the numerous spyware and adware I have on my computer. MacAfee’s scan did not find anything wrong, except for one result: 1 Trojan, Detection name: New Malware.al!enc, but no action was required. How the heck can I stop this program from popping up? The name is Spyware Preventer. Should I activate it?
I was really getting desperate, at the point of sobbing (telling you this in utter confidence). Therefore, took the first advise and Hey Presto it solved my problem. Other responses were equally helpful, like telling me that McAfee is not into this sort of business. I wonder why? I will keep the answers for future reference. Whatever they say about YahooAnswers! It is a very useful tool when you need a prompt response. Only 10 points for the best answer? I find that an insult. You all can split my points between the lot of you, if only it were possible.
The easiest way to fix it is using Malwarebyte’s Anti-Malware (Download it, update it, do a full scan, and remove everything it finds).
I would also recommend the following programs to make sure that you don’t get infected again in the future:
Spybot – Search & Destroy
Avira AntiVir Personal
Spyware Doctor Starter Edition

I suggest you download and scan with Superantispyware free and Malwarebytes Antimalware free.
mcafees is anti-virus and dosent remove spyware or malware in your case.
Run malwarebytes and also try AdAware anti-spyware
AdAware anti-spyware
do not activate anything .
1st ~install and run (then at least weekly) ~”ccleaner”(2 c’s) free.
it will remove all temp files and cookies from your PC .
these are from NORMAL web browsing.some though are responsible for some of your problems.
it will also recover some memory.
2nd~ after running ccleaner .
go off line .now try to remove toolbar ~with add and remove program .delete it .
it should go .
the reason to go off line is that these types of aggresive adware programs,reconect to their web page on line .and reconnect themselves.
try these ~if they do not work~add to your question and i will suggest other solutions.
