In its preferences you can choose lots of stuff to be reset to their windows defaults. It is quite good in finding unwanted pop ups, althgough it did not get the last one i had. Fortuneately i had a norton ghost image of the hard drive 6 months old. So I bought a usb hard drive and store images on it every week or so. i run onecare first then image the hard drive. An image of XP drive and programs is about 10 gig. All my music, files etc are on another partition and not included in that image.
