try comodo its a firewall plus anti virus realtime.its free. spy bot search & destroy with the teatimer also free. use firefox with the addons noscript and addblocker plus.you can also use threatfire another free program. go to trend micro once a month and run housecall. adaware has become a bit bulky and slow.
Just what do you expect for free? If you have XP go to microsoft and get Defender. AVG has also improved. is a good place to look for free stuff. Have fun.
