Oh yeah, mine works. I questioned the same thing if it was just a market thing. There is SO MUCH now. Internet evolves and needs it I guess. So do the hackers. Look at us now, dial-up doesn’t even cut it now

Norton 2006 worked well for us until it expired so we got the Verizon security now and its working better than Norton. Maybe you should look into it and see if anything is turned off that is allowing virusses into the computer.
All antiviruse dont have answers to all viruses available. moreover viruses keep updating themselves and new ones are always coming. your antivirus is effective. If at times you still get virus try online scan. Use the following link:

Norton antivirus does nt detect spyware and adware since their detection mechanism is different. Try Kaspersky antivirus software.
Some Free Products actually do the job more effectively
For Example My computer was infected with trojan vundo…McAfee detected it but couldn’t remove it…after following this and that instruction mcafee finally got rid of it..
My computer was still infected though and McAfee couldn’t detect anything.
i used superantispyware free edition, MalwareBytes AntiMalware Free, and SDFix (also free)..and it got rid of the infections.
So in my opinion free stuff is kinda better
Just as new tech is always coming out, so are new viruses and grayware (adware, spyware, malware, just stuff you don’t want, also called “malicious code”) so your protection software needs to update with new profiles to protect you against them. McAfee does a decent job but the ones i’ve had the best experience with are PC Cillin (which i also loaded with Spysweeper) and Panda. Still, i have had an annoying adware that took a few updates to get rid of. After all, antivirus/antigrayware progs can’t see into the future, only make advancements. Hope this helps.
The point is so you can waste your hard earned cash on crap that wont even do the job its supposedly created to do and the companies can continue getting richer.
