I have Windows Defender and McAfee.
Pay me $50 and I’ll tell you!
Actually, the stuff you get for free makes me kinda nervous. I mean, if they can FIND all this stuff, then they can surely INSTALL it too. How else will they make money from it?
because it’s free doesn’t cost you anything why pay. you’ll will have to pay for the up grade. we won’t it will still be free. yours will not be
After 30 years of computing and running global networks, free is not always the best. The total cost in money and time (or hassle) needs consideration.
For example, I might get a free program but if i forget the manual updates I might get a virus that wipes out my PC.
The majority of cost and time in PCs is the support not the initial purchses. If you’re buying items because they are cheap or free now BUT cannot support yourself, over the life expectancy of the PC you could pay MUCH more.
It is an individual choice and you have to take into account your knowledge or the person using the system. I can get you a nice SBS sever with everything installed for a couple of thousand and then a person puts a free version of something that is manual unless the ‘pro’ version is bought, The server crashes and it costs twice as much as the system to get it back up with thier data, if they where not too cheap to implement a backup system.
So free is VERY relative and many times it can be more costly especially if the system is in the hands of less knowledgable users.
I also have to say I STRONGLY support GPL/GNU free software but I can support myself.
Take care,
