Avast is a very effective and free anti-virus program because it can do a boot time scan in safe mode and it will remove all viruses on your PC. Even those stubborn trojan viruses that hide inside the system restore folder. I have tried AVG 7.5 before. In the end I have use Avast 4.8 to remove the stubborn virus. They don’t realise that AVG have lower detection rates than Avast and the version 8 is a resource hog.
